The 32nd Annual First Church of Christ, Congregational Arts & Crafts Fair is scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. This free event takes place rain or shine on the church campus located off Cross Highway.
Visitors from the tri-state area have come to look forward to this country-style fair that offers over forty fine artisans, a giant tag sale, live music, children’s games and delicious food.
A favorite stop is the Apple Pie Tent where visitors can buy delicious homemade pies by the slice or full pie and “congregational soup,” which is combined and warmed in an old-fashioned caldron over an open fire. The food tent also features pulled pork, hot dogs, hamburgers, and homemade to enjoy.
New to the Fair this year is a children’s art contest. Children are asked to draw, paint or color (no computer generated art) art that answers the question “what does love look like to me.” For more information and an entry form, visit www.firstchurchredding.org/fair.html.
Children will also not want to miss The Magic of Danny Diamond set to begin at 11:30am. Live music will be provided by Redding’s own “Yippee Coyote” as well as other local bands.
Proceeds support the church’s various local and global outreach programs, including local food pantries, Habitat for Humanity, homeless shelters and disaster relief efforts.
For more information, visit firstchurchredding.org/fair.html.
Parking is available at the Redding Elementary School with shuttle bus service.
