Travel Back To 1763 With Author Owen Palmiotti

Date/Time

Oct 27, 2013
12:00 PM

Description

Meet author, Owen Palmiotti and his main character (in costume) Benjamin Manry on Sunday, October 27, 2013 from 12:0pm-3:00pm at the downtown Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road, Fairfield, (203) 255-7756. Palmiotti will be greeting customers and signing copies of his young adult time travel pirate adventure series, The Benjamin Manry series.

The series begins with Benjamin Manry and the Curse of Blood Bones, telling the interwoven fates of Blood Bones, Captain Arthur F. Nelson, and our young hero-to-be, Benjamin Manry. At seventeen, Ben, his brother Harris, and their best friend Sal discover a map written in red dye. It leads them to the cursed treasure of Blood Bones, the ferocious pirate famously hunted by all of Britain in the 1700s.

The three adventurers travel back in time to 1763 and join the crew of the Frendrich in the quest for Blood Bones. Little do the time travelers know, but they are an integral part of the curse on the treasure. Blood Bones had two things in mind when he created the curse: revenge and immortality. Can the boys survive and make it back to their own time?

The Benjamin Manry series includes, Benjamin Manry and the Curse of Blood Bones (Jun 15, 2008), Benjamin Manry and the Crimson Journal (The Adventures of Benjamin Manry) (Dec 9, 2010), Benjamin Manry and the Crimson Journal: Book Two of The Adventures of Benjamin Manry (Jan 15, 2011) and most recently Benjamin Manry and the Scarlet Stone (May 15, 2013).
