Gone fishing! Salt water fishing in the great outdoors: the ‘cows’ reef, of Penfield Beaches reef, is named for the fact that cows once grazed on this peninsula that juts into the Long Island Sound. This reef is known as a prime fishing spot. For inland fresh water fishing, trout distribution occurs in many Fairfield County rivers between March and May each year, including the Mill River.
