The Thirteenth Annual Luncheon for the Fairfield County Community Foundation’s Fund for Women and Girls put a whole new spin on the phrase “a working lunch.” More than 600 supporters gathered for the event, which centered on the role of women as the heart of society. Keynote speaker Anika Rahman inspired the audience to take a more active role in women’s rights. Honorees included Anne Leonhardt and Joan Warburg, who helped establish and nurture the fund in its infancy.

The luncheon also highlighted the important steps being taken to help women and girls overcome the hardships they face today
