Tea Time

Mad Hatter's Tea

The attendees of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party took a journey to Wonderland for an afternoon of fundraising and fashion. Best-selling author Jane Green transformed her home into a teahouse stunning enough to make the Queen jealous. Attendees sipped tea and nibbled on delicious bites, all while sporting whimsical and fashion-forward hats. Even Alice herself—the hostess’s daughter dressed in the character’s iconic blue dress and white apron—made an appearance. The gathering wasn’t just a social affair. Attendees were there to support the Bethel Recovery Center, located in Bridgeport. The tea party raised funds for the center, which offers residential care, drug and alcohol counseling, and educational opportunities to women and their children throughout Connecticut.
