The Connecticut Challenge (CTC) is no stranger to the area. Since its founding by two friends, Jeff Keith, a pediatric cancer survivor, and John Ragland, the CTC has organized a number of fundraisers throughout Fairfield County. Its purpose is to empower cancer survivors to lead healthier and happier lives, by providing them with survivorship programs and conducting research. The organization reached a milestone in its history with the recent opening of its Center for Survivorship in Southport. The center offers fitness classes, personal training, nutrition, support groups, and other resources to enrich the lives of cancer survivors. The CTC hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, where it officially opened the doors of the center as a community space of healing.
