Fairfield Museum and History Center

Bobbie Sue Smart, Tim Russell, Pattie Spaght

To kick off the Fairfield’s Rockin’ Top Ten exhibit, the Fairfield Museum and History Center opened its doors after-hours and invited the community to come celebrate the rich musical heritage of Fairfield County. It was standing-room only for the sold-out event. Not only did visitors sip drinks, socialize, and enjoy a special preview of the exhibit, they also rubbed elbows with some of the musical legends who are part of Fairfield’s musical top ten. Special guests were Chris Frantz (who guest-curated the exhibit) and Tina Weymouth, both of Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club fame, iconic funk bassist Nile Rodgers, José Feliciano, Chip Damiani and musician and producer Robert Steven Williams. Chris Frantz also hosted a roundtable discussion with the performers, who shared behind-the-scenes stories of the music biz with the attendees.
