This Museum After Dark event at the Fairfield Museum and History Center celebrated Fairfield County’s savvy businesswomen and leaders. Attendees enjoyed a special preview of the Wonder Women of Fairfield exhibit, which highlighted the fascinating lives of notable Fairfield County women. Among the groundbreaking women of the exhibit were Pepperidge Farms founder Margaret Rudkin, naturalist Mabel Osgood Wright and Anne Shaw Carter, the first woman to pilot a commercial helicopter in America. Attendees snacked on Milanos and other treats provided by Pepperidge Farm, including iconic (and tasty) Goldfish crackers. Special guests for the evening included Tom Rudkin (Margaret’s grandson) and Stuart Rudkin (her great-grandson), Pepperidge Farm President Irene Chang Britt and Fairfield Selectwoman Cristin McCarthy Vahey. The evening kicked off a month of women’s history events hosted by the Fairfield Museum and History Center.
