Join friends and neighbors while exemplifying the generous spirit of the Fairfield community by helping neighbors in need. Celebrate Fairfield’s 375th Anniversary by joining the first ever historic town wide food drive Saturday April 26th and Sunday April 27th.  Non- perishable food donations will be accepted from individuals, families, partners; public and private schools, universities, houses of worship, civic organizations, clubs, scouts and local businesses.

Recipients of this Food Drive:

Three organizations that fight hunger: Operation Hope, The Bridgeport Rescue Mission and The Thomas Merton House. Project from the Heart, an organization that sends thousands of care packages to our Troops overseas, will also benefit.

How can you help?

The Food Drive committee encourages residents to host their own food drives throughout the week. There is a shopping list of specific food items needed on the website.

Gift Cards:

Thanks to the generous support of Stop & Shop and ShopRite Supermarkets and Whole Foods Market, gift card donations are available at a 10% discount. These gift cards will help stock the food pantries with items that are most needed.

Pre-Collection Sites:

Drop your food donations to pre-collection sites throughout town (locations are listed on the website).

Financial Donations:

Every dollar you donate will go directly toward filling the food pantries and is tax deductible. Checks can be made out to food drive partner, Eunice Dennie Burr Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution – ‘DAR-Fairfield 375 Food Drive’.

Mail to Fairfield 375 Food Drive c/o: Town Clerk, 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield CT 06824 / or donate directly online.

Volunteers are needed! Get in on the action. Sign up on line and choose your own spot and time. Community hours will be given to those who need them.

Bring your gift of non-perishable food items and enjoy! Schedule is as follows...
